# Elea & Lili

> Deep-tech biomaterials company commercializing cellulose-based superabsorbent materials (CSA™) to replace fossil-based superabsorbent polymers (SAP) in hygiene and agricultural absorbent applications.

Elea & Lili is a Finnish spinout originating from advanced research at VTT. The company is developing CSA™, a microplastic-free, cellulose-based superabsorbent material designed for industrial-scale use in diapers, feminine hygiene products, and agricultural water-management systems. In March 2026, the company raised €2.5 million in seed funding.
